About Me:

I’m a 30ish year old software engineer, with a glee for technology like a kid has for Christmas.  By day I work at Gibbs & Associates and by night, I do whatever I have free time for.  I’ve written a number of small applications for my personal use, a few paid applications for private individuals, the occasional web programming, and sometimes some video games or just screwing around on the web.

When I’m not at work,my wife Brooke and I are doing our best to avoid trouble, and if I’m not with her chances are I’m off doing something geeky ( note: that GEEK does not mean NERD.  I do NOT play Dungeons & Dragons nor have I ever.  And while Geeks can be Nerds and Nerds can be Geeks, there IS a difference between the two ).

Lately I have started down a journey to get back in shape.  I was never in the best of shape ( except when lifeguarding at age 17 & 18 ) but after getting older ( turning 33 in 2010 ) and divorce and all kinds of ups and downs I decided it was time to get serious about my health and get in shape.  I picked P90X after seeing numerous infomercials, and seeing countless testimonials on youtube of people that have done it.  I follow the #P90x tag on twitter and found a lot of people doing the same thing.  As of 2/26/2010 I’m finishing up my 3rd week of the program and I’ve lost 8 pounds.  The workouts are getting somewhat easier and I’m pushing myself harder each time to make sure I still “feel it” the next day.  Hopefully I can feel secure enough after my last week to post before and after pictures.

    Hi Jeremy,

Congratulations on sticking with P90x. I tried that…and I lasted 3 days, but I swear I may get back into it. Hmm..I am also 30 something and divorced and a geek…but I did play D&D when I was a teen…and I totally would play it again if I had the chance 🙂 But alas I am too too busy.

    Matt
